I'm delighted to announce that Maypole's development has been funded by a
development grant from the Perl Foundation.

I put in a grant proposal for a sum that would cover my expenses for one
month, to allow me to dedicate that time to work on Maypole. I plan to run
that for the whole month of April. My deliverables for this grant are:
Two tutorial articles on Maypole, to appear in the Perl Journal and
perl.com
Example implementations of PetStore and iBuySpy
    Complete the outlined documentation

I also put space in there to work with you, the Maypole user community,
to decide what else you want from Maypole. I'm sure that the documentation is
going to be a big part of it, but if there's anything else we need to get done
- more authentication modules like ::SessionCookie, for instance, or some
commonly-used components? A shopping cart? What sort of thing do you need?

Once again I'd like to say how honoured and pleased I am by this grant.
Thanks, Perl Foundation!
