[Maypole] TT Include path not getting set

I've set up yesterday's CVS version of Maypole on Apache 2.  The TT include
path isn't getting set to find my templates in the beerdb folder i made.  This
is an ls -R of  /usr/local/apache2/beerdb.

beerdb:
.  ..  beerdb.css  custom  factory  lib

beerdb/custom:
.  ..  frontpage  header

beerdb/factory:
.  ..  addnew  edit  footer  header  list  macros  navbar  pager  search_form 
view

beerdb/lib:
.  ..  BeerDB.pm

All the templates are copied from the source templates directory. I believe i
followed all the instructions. I didn't see any mentioning of having to set
config->template_root in BeerDB.pm.  
I added the paths to the beerdb templates manaully in TT.pm and it works.

What am i missing? 

I notice get_template_root returns ".".  Would that be the directory that
BeerDB.pm is in or what?
