Here's the messed-up thing about it:

You're right.  I can't see a bug in line 32 of Maypole.pm, either.

But, if I replace Maypole::Model::CDBI in line 32 of Maypole.pm with 
MyApp::Model::CDBI it works just fine.

I think I'm going to go cry now.
